The Subconscious Mind and the Law of Attraction

When I first discovered the law of attraction 3 years ago I was elated. Now I can have everything that I want! It didn't turn out that way at first though and I was frustrated! So I began to do some research ...

As it turns out, we have this thing called a subconscious mind. This is the part of us that governs the "automatic" things. An example would be this ... have you ever been driving in your car and started daydreaming? Before you know it you've made it to your destination and you don't even remember the trip! It's like you completely zoned out but you still managed to stop at every red light, adjust your speed to the speed limit, and avoid any sort of car accident! This is your subconscious mind at work.

The subconscious mind is automatic and it is an order taker. It does what it has been trained to do. An example of this would be a golfer who hits the driving range every day. Whatever that golfer is practicing is being imprinted into his subconscious mind so that when the moment comes during a competition for them to hit that 300 yard drive it's automatic. There is no thinking involved. It is simply muscle memory. The problem comes in when we consciously get involved in the process. We "sike" ourselves out and hit a shank!

So what does this have to do with the law of attraction? Well, let's say that it's money that you would like to attract into your life. Maybe you've been told you're whole life that you have to work hard for money or that money is the "root of all evil", etc. This has been imprinted into your subconscious so what will happen is you will repel money making opportunities subconsciously! You won't notice the winning lottery ticket laying on the ground or the ad in the newspaper for your dream job.

So what do I do? You have to retrain your subconscious mind! One way to do this is through self hypnosis. I have found much success with this and there are a number of different ways that you can do this. (If you don't believe in hypnosis then read Mark's post about the 5 myths of hypnosis. Trust me, if you are a human and you have a brain then you can be hypnotized) Hypnotism allows you to get past the gatekeeper, or the conscious mind, and implant new suggestions or ideas. The moments right before you go to sleep at night, and right before you wake up in the morning are the moments when your conscious mind is at its weakest. You can retrain your subconscious mind to think positively, or focus on wealth, or have better self esteem. I will include a link at the bottom of this post to some hypnotic products that I have used with much success.

I hope this post helps you manifest your dreams. Be patient with it though! It took your subconscious mind many years to develop the method of thinking that it currently uses. I would recommend to at least give it a few weeks.

Here is a link to HypnosisDownloads.com. I have purchased many of their products and still do on a consistent basis for continual self improvement.

Good Luck!

Justin
